Sabah Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals Association (SWEPA) is a Non-Governmental Organisation where formation was spearheaded by the Economic Committee of the Sabah Women’s Advisory Council in March 1993. It was registered with the Registrar of Societies in May 1994.
SWEPA aims to bring women entrepreneurs and professionals to the forefront in the economic development of the state and nation.
SWEPA seek to provide a platform for women entrepreneurs and professionals to network and to be trained.
MEANING OF SWEPA’S LOGO
- The BLACK color of a silhouette of a woman and of the top of a mortar board represents professionalism and respectability of women;
- The RED color in the eye of a bird represents courage and strength;
- The GOLD color in the word ‘SWEPA’ represents wealth and prosperity.
In short, the logo of the association stands for “Sabah professional and respectable women with courage and strength pursuing business, in wealth and prosperity”.
