Barefoot Solar “Engineers” Gining & Rusni Installs solar panels in their Villages


The two Solar “Engineers” Gining & Rusni upon their return home to their villages Kampong Binontungan Suyad and Kampng Sungai Magandai had a much needed rest before embarking on their mission. During these the months of November – December, 2016, they used of the Rural Electrical Workshop (REW) to prepare for the solar panels installation and went from house to house to install a solar panel for each household. A Village Solar Committee was also set up to oversee the installation and maintenance of their respective village or “kampong.” Each household have agreed to pay to the committee RM15.00 per month as maintenance fee.
